Welcome to our blog! Six years ago we applied to be part of an innovative learning opportunity in our district.  Our prototype was selected, and we will be starting our fifth year in our blended-learning environment.  We incorporate small group instruction, online instruction, and project-based learning to personalize instruction for each student. At times throughout our crazy adventure, we felt like we were on an island far removed from anyone else that was breaking away from the norm. Through social media, classes, and workshops, we have become connected to a huge community of teachers who are stepping out of their comfort zones alongside us. We hope that by sharing many of the lessons we have learned throughout our journey that we can encourage and support teachers who are ready to step into the world of “disruptive innovation” in order to create optimal learning environments for their students.
